We are a small studio based in Ashburton, working in a considered and grounded way that reflects a respect for people, place, and process. This approach allows us to maintain honesty in our work and uphold a high standard of quality across all projects.
Our practice is modest in scale but confident in capability, shaped by experience across a wide range of building types and contexts. This breadth keeps our focus firmly on the client, the whenua, and the unique requirements of each project, ensuring design outcomes are appropriate, well-resolved, and responsive to place.
With Jonathan’s experience across more than 1,500 projects, our practice brings a grounded understanding of residential and commercial design, including new builds and alterations. This supports a measured approach that responds to the specific needs of each project.
We are mindful of construction costs and the importance of early planning. Working closely with clients, we aim to respect budgets while still achieving clear, well-resolved architectural outcomes. Our focus is on clarity, purpose, and design integrity, creating architecture that is considered, enduring, and appropriate to its context.
